10:20am – 10:35am – Capturing Knowledge with Engineering Best Practices and Leveraging Artificial Intelligence

Presentation Description: The Equity Engineering Practices (EEPs) offer comprehensive design, engineering, and operations/maintenance guidance for fertilizer producers. Specifically, all aspects of plant fixed and rotating equipment are covered in detail, with an emphasis on maximizing long-term asset reliability by mitigating costly component failures and lost production. Furthermore, the EEPs represent an effective means of capturing a broad range of subject matter expert knowledge for the next generation. Additionally, Artificial Intelligence is now being leveraged to dramatically improve the accessibility of information through an AI chatbot (that operates securely in a closed system) that can quickly and accurately search hundreds of documents and answer technical questions, all while protecting valuable intellectual property. For fertilizer producers, this technology represents the state-of-the-art for optimizing internal engineering standards programs while simultaneously providing a valuable training tool for engineering and inspection personnel.
