Salar Malik is the Chief Sustainability & Innovation Officer at Fauji Fertilizer Limited (FFC), Pakistan’s largest fertilizer manufacturer. He leads FFC’s sustainability initiatives, focusing on integrating the latest business innovations to minimize emissions and offset the Company’s carbon footprint. His work is centered on creating a sustainable fertilizer value chain that balances agricultural productivity with environmental responsibility, ensuring long-term benefits for both farmers and the ecosystem.

 

He also leads FFC’s efforts to drive new business innovations aimed at addressing farmers’ pain points. He is currently spearheading an ambitious expansion plan for a Direct to Consumer (D2C) channel, whereby establishing over 70 physical stores across Pakistan, ensuring farmers have direct access to fertilizers with transparent pricing and timely availability of inputs.

Additionally, Salar is overseeing a nationwide rollout of precision farming projects for FFC’s network of farmers, leveraging satellite and drone based technologies. This initiative provides farmers with AI based actionable insights to enhance yields and profitability, bringing their crop production in line with global standards.
