Marbet is serving as Chief Executive Officer of Grupo Fertinal, Mexico´s largest fertilizer producer, which is owned by Pemex. Since her appointment in March 2023, she has been leading a new strategy focused on making Fertinal more productive, profitable, environmentally conscious and responsible.

In her previous roles, she played a crucial part in the transformation of Fertinal, being partially responsible for the investment program supported by the Government of Mexico and Pemex to refurbish and recover the production capacity at the Company’s production sites. Under her leadership, this investment is focused on making the production chain more sustainable.

In her previous role as Commercial Director, she was focus on restoring Fertinal’s presence and prestige in national and international markets. She also worked to reassure suppliers and customers about the future development of Fertinal, and its commitment to meet all its obligations.

She is also responsible for the strategy, distribution, and operational efforts required to ensure that fertilizers are available throughout Mexico prior their delivery to small farmers by the Ministry of Agriculture, as part of the Mexican Government’s Wellbeing Fertilizer Program.  This program aims to help Mexico achieve food security in basic grains such as corn, beans, and rice, as well as other essential crops, so that small farmers can step out of extreme poverty. In the recent period, Fertinal successfully delivered more than 1 million tons of Fertilizers by truck in less than 5 months, reaching the most remote regions of Mexico.
