Managing aging equipment is a growing challenge in fertilizer plants, especially when demanding process conditions can impact safety and equipment reliability. Brian Macejko will introduce the principles of Fitness-For-Service (FFS) assessments, using API 579-1/ASME FFS-1, to evaluate equipment condition, safely extend service life, and support mechanical integrity decisions. This session will also offer insights into the upcoming changes to the API 579-1/ASME FFS-1 standard and discuss how these changes relate to the fertilizer
